    How We Can Help You

A dedicated Coiba and Santa Catalina travel guide

Coiba-Island.com is an independent, unofficial travel guide. We are not the government, and we do not own or manage Coiba National Park.

Our focus is to make it easier for travelers to:

    • Understand how Coiba and Santa Catalina work in real life
    • Compare tour options (snorkeling, diving, day trips, multi-day trips)
    • Navigate the logistics of getting from Panama City to Santa Catalina and Coiba
    • Choose where to stay and how many days to plan in the area

We spend a lot of time talking with travelers, local guides and operators so that our guides stay practical and up to date.

    What we can help with

    We’re a good contact for:

    • Questions about which type of Coiba tour might fit you best
    • Understanding the difference between day trips vs. multi-day trips
    • Clarifying options for charter flights and ground transport to Santa Catalina
    • Basic help comparing hotels and guesthouses in and around Santa Catalina
    • General questions about seasons, weather, wildlife and what to expect
    • Connecting you with trusted local operators when possible

We don’t sell hype – we try to give realistic expectations so your trip feels like what you imagined.

    What we are not

    To avoid confusion:

    • We are not the official administration of Coiba National Park.
    • We do not manage park permits or government reservations.
    • We are not the direct operator of most tours or accommodations listed on the site.

If you need to change or cancel a booking you already made with a specific tour operator or hotel, you must contact them directly.

If you’re not sure who to contact, tell us what you booked (operator, date, name on the reservation) and we’ll try to point you in the right direction.

Media, Partnerships and Listing Your Business

If you work in media, content creation or tourism, we’re happy to hear from you.

    We can help with:

    • Background information and context for stories about Coiba Island, Santa Catalina and Panama’s Pacific coast
    • Limited use of photos or video (when available), with proper credit
    • Interviews or quotes about tourism, conservation and local travel dynamics

If you own or manage a tour company, dive shop, boat, hotel or guesthouse and would like to be considered for inclusion in our guides:

    • Tell us about your business
    • Share your website or social media
    • Explain what makes your service different or valuable to travelers

We can’t guarantee inclusion, but we do review new projects and operators periodically and may contact you if it’s a good fit.

When you write to us for this, please mention that your message is about “Media / partnership” or “Add my tour / hotel to your guides” so we can prioritize it correctly.

FAQ – Contact Coiba Island Panama

Are you the official administration of Coiba National Park?

No. Coiba-Island.com is an independent travel guide and is not the official administration of Coiba National Park. The park is managed by Panama’s Ministry of Environment (MiAmbiente). We help travelers understand how to visit and what to expect, but we do not issue permits or manage the park itself.

Can you book tours or flights for me?

In many cases we recommend trusted local operators and routes (including flights via Lago Bay Airstrip), and sometimes we can connect you with partners. However, bookings and payments are usually made directly with the tour operator, airline or hotel. We’ll make it clear in our reply whether you’re booking through a partner or directly with them.

How long do you usually take to reply?

We typically respond within 24–48 hours. During very busy periods, it may take a little longer, but we do our best to answer every serious trip-planning question we receive.

What information should I include in my message?

To help us give you a useful answer, it’s best to include your estimated travel dates, how many people are in your group, whether you prefer snorkeling, diving, surfing or general sightseeing, if you already have a hotel or tour operator in mind and any special needs or preferences (kids, older travelers, non-swimmers, etc.).

Can I promote my tour or hotel on your site?

Maybe. We regularly review new tours, boats, dive shops and accommodations. If you’d like to be considered, tell us about your business, your website or social media, and what makes your service valuable for travelers visiting Coiba or Santa Catalina. We can’t guarantee inclusion, but we do save and review serious inquiries.

Do you offer support in Spanish or Portuguese?

Our main contact language is English, but we can often help in Spanish and Portuguese as well. If you’re more comfortable in those languages, feel free to write your message in Spanish or Portuguese.
